Synthetic anaglyphs of Opportunity & its surroundings

has given permission to post these two scenic views he constructed with POV-Ray, the free raytracer software. Here is his description:

3D renderings of Opportunity landing site, nearly accurately computed with use of NASA/JPL pictures and mainly POV raytracer. I think these images provide a good sense of sizes and ranges of harware and site. Please notice I'm not pretending to reflect perfectly the landsite conformation. In fact, topography map may be quite accurate (extraxted from JPL Opportunity crater 3d contour map), but I have mapped panorama picture on the resulting mesh the best I can.
The actual scenes encompass more of the surroundings than what appears in the thumbnails.
